Sell Your Native American Jewelry in Southern Oregon
We buy most sterling silver native American jewelry with turquoise and red coral. We pay a premium for hallmarked pieces and we also pay for the stones in your native Jewelry.
What Native American jewelry do we buy?
We buy squash blossom necklaces, cuffs, bracelets, rings and other sterling pieces set with turquoise, coral or other stones, along with signed and hallmarked work. Signed silver with gold elements is welcome too.
How is Native American jewelry valued?
We price it as jewelry, not as bullion. A jewelry offer starts with the metal’s purity and weight at the live spot price, and then accounts for what the piece actually is: who made it, the stones, its condition, and whether it is worth more intact than melted. That is why we look at every piece in person.
- Marks on the back. Turn the piece over. An artist’s stamped name, initials or symbol, or a sterling mark such as STERLING or 925, tells us a great deal.
- The silver. We test and weigh it. Some pieces only look like silver, and testing settles that.
- The stones. What they are, how they are set, and whether any are cracked, loose or missing.
- Completeness. A squash blossom necklace with all its parts, or a matched set kept together, should come in as it is.
What should I do before the appointment?
Leave the patina alone. Polishing wears down maker’s marks and hallmarks, and those marks are what we need to read. Don’t take pieces apart or pry stones out. Bring any receipts or certificates from the maker if you have them; they help but are not required. Bring photo ID; Oregon requires it for precious-metals transactions.
Both shops work by appointment. Ashland is at 1632 Ashland St., (541) 482-3715, with posted hours Tuesday through Friday, 10 to 5; we are usually booked, so please call rather than walk in. Grants Pass works by appointment, typically Mondays, at (541) 955-2985.
From Talent, Phoenix, Medford or Redding
Talent is about 4 miles from the Ashland shop, Phoenix about 6, and Medford about 14. Redding sellers regularly make the 87-mile drive up I-5 to Ashland. If a trip isn’t practical, call (541) 482-3715 and describe the pieces. When shipping makes sense, we can send you a shipping label, and we’ll go over the rest on the call. See selling by mail.
For signed pieces with gold in them, our gold jewelry guide explains why to bring them intact. For reading sterling marks, see the sterling guide.
